Juno Beach describes itself as a predominantly residential seaside community, with an oceanfront bike path, the Loggerhead Marinelife Center and the Juno Dunes Natural Area. It had 3,858 residents in the 2020 census.

The town’s Building Department handles all permitting through the MGO Connect portal, and inspections must be scheduled online by 4 p.m. the day before. The roofing contractor affidavit certifies sheathing re-nailing and tin-tag and roof metal installation, with photographs of each step. Under a tropical storm or hurricane watch or warning, construction materials, roof tiles included, must be secured or removed.
In the Saturn Lane, Zephyr Way and Beachbound historic districts the code lists the permitted roofs: tile, heavyweight asphalt shingle, and built-up roofs on low slopes, with flat roofs limited to 30 percent of the roof area. Metal is permitted on Saturn Lane but not in the other two, and building permits there are reviewed by the town director first.

No. The High Velocity Hurricane Zone is defined in the Florida Building Code (section 1620) by county and covers Miami-Dade and Broward only. Juno Beach is in Palm Beach County, so its roofs are permitted under the statewide Florida Building Code as the city administers it. Roofing products still need a Florida Product Approval or a Miami-Dade Notice of Acceptance.
