Metal
Concealed fasteners and seams raised above the water line, which removes the two things that kill exposed-screw panels. The best answer to coastal exposure and the least forgiving of a wavy deck.
Jupiter roofing services
Roofing in Jupiter covers a genuinely mixed stock: concrete and clay tile on the newer communities, standing-seam metal on coastal and Old Florida houses, architectural shingle inland, and low-slope membrane on commercial and multi-family buildings. Jupiter is in northern Palm Beach County, outside the High Velocity Hurricane Zone.
The building stock
Jupiter runs from the inlet and the ocean frontage westward through waterfront neighborhoods, planned communities and inland subdivisions, and the roofs change as you go. Near the water it is metal and tile, specified — or at least it should be — with corrosion-resistant hardware, because salt goes after the fasteners and flashings long before it touches the covering. Further inland it is tile and architectural shingle on repetitive subdivision geometry, and the question is usually replacement timing rather than exotic detailing.
One number is worth putting alongside all that. Palm Beach County’s average homeowners premium including wind coverage was $6,323 in the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation’s July 2026 stability report — higher than either of the two High Velocity Hurricane Zone counties to the south, and the highest of the six counties we serve apart from Monroe. Roof condition is part of what underwriters weigh, which is a practical reason to keep documentation of what is on your roof and when it went on.
Commercial and multi-family buildings add a third category: low-slope membrane where drains, seams and terminations decide the outcome, and where the work has to be phased around occupancy rather than done all at once.

What we install
Metal
Concealed fasteners and seams raised above the water line, which removes the two things that kill exposed-screw panels. The best answer to coastal exposure and the least forgiving of a wavy deck.
Tile
Heavy, ventilated and immune to sunlight — which is why a tile roof can look perfect while the underlayment beneath it has expired. That layer is what a re-roof actually buys.
Shingle
The economical choice inland, and the one most sensitive to wind. Nailing pattern, starter course and tab sealing matter more than the brand.
Commercial
Modified bitumen and single-ply membrane on commercial and multi-family buildings, phased so the building stays dry and open while the work runs.
Repair or replace
One leak on a young roof is a detail failure — a flashing, a pipe boot, a cracked tile — and worth fixing on its own. One leak on a roof near the end of its life is usually the first of several, and money spent patching is money not spent on the replacement you will buy anyway. The difference is decided on the roof, not over the phone, and the answer should come with photographs.
See roof repair for what an assessment covers, or flat roofs if the problem is a low-slope section. Examples of completed work are in the project portfolio.
Questions
No, and it catches people out because Palm Beach County borders Broward. The High Velocity Hurricane Zone is defined in the Florida Building Code by county boundary — Broward and Miami-Dade, and nothing else. It is not a wind-speed trigger, which is why competitor pages get it wrong so often. Jupiter works to the Florida Building Code as adopted and administered by the local building department, and Palm Beach County is the most fragmented permitting environment on this coast with thirty-nine municipalities in it. Confirm which department covers your address before assuming anything.
It depends on the structure, the exposure and how long you plan to own it. Standing-seam metal handles coastal salt exposure best and lasts longest; concrete and clay tile is the traditional choice and costs more up front than shingle; architectural shingle is the most economical and the most wind-sensitive. Switching between them is partly a structural question, because tile is heavy.
Enough that it is worth asking about on any property with open water frontage or a clear run to the ocean. Salt-laden air corrodes fasteners, flashings, drip edge and valley metal before it does anything visible to the covering, so on an exposed Jupiter house the hardware specification matters more than the material printed on the quote.
Yes. Low-slope membrane replacement, restoration coatings where the roof is genuinely a candidate, and phased work over buildings that need to stay open and occupied. That is a project management exercise as much as a roofing one, and it is scheduled accordingly.
No. This page is about the roofing work itself. The Jupiter office page is about the office — the phone number, the map link and the counties run from it. If you are looking for where we are rather than what we do, go there.
Looking for the office rather than the work? See the Jupiter office page. Elsewhere in the county, see the Palm Beach County service area.

Coastal or inland, the answer starts with what the layers under the covering are doing.
