Free roof calculator · Rough estimates only

Free roof calculator. Built for South Florida homes.

Roof size, a rough price estimate by material and a repair-or-replace read in about a minute, measured from satellite imagery. The prices are rough estimates, not a quote: your price comes only from a measured inspection and a written proposal.

  1. 1Your details
  2. 2Roof & rough estimate

Your roof and a rough price estimate in a minute.

We find the roof from above and measure it, or you trace it on the satellite view. Your rough estimate opens right below.

Free, no obligation. Rough estimates from satellite imagery, not a quote; a real Perkins estimator follows up.

Three answers. One minute.

Know your roof
before you talk to anyone.

The calculator gives you the scale of the job, a rough price estimate and a direction, so the first conversation starts from understanding rather than a sales pitch.

01 · Roof size & materials

How big the roof really is.

Floor area is not roof area. Pitch, overhangs and intersecting planes change the number. The calculator measures the roof from above and turns it into roofing squares and the materials that go with them.

Shingle, tile and metal — the three systems that move the range.

02 · A rough cost estimate

A rough estimate, not a quote.

See how shingle, metal, tile and roof complexity move a rough price range before anyone visits. Every figure is labeled with the South Florida assumption behind it. Perkins does not confirm these numbers; your price comes only from a measured inspection and a written proposal.

A valley opened up: what decides repair versus replace.

03 · Repair or replace

Which direction fits your roof.

Age, storm history and what you have noticed point toward a targeted repair or a full replacement. The read is a starting point for the inspection conversation, not a verdict on your roof.

  • Roofing South Florida since 1980Family-owned, licensed and insured. Two offices — Miami and Jupiter — and crews who work in the High-Velocity Hurricane Zone every week.
  • 6 counties, two officesSt. Lucie, Martin, Palm Beach, Broward, Miami-Dade, Monroe. Call the office nearest you and talk to a person who knows your municipality.
  • Written scope before any priceEvery proposal ties the price to a measured roof, a specified system and the details around chimneys, walls and edges. No number is binding until it is in writing.
  • Inspection before adviceThe calculator gives a rough estimate. The inspection decides. We look at the deck, the layers and the flashing before recommending a repair or a replacement.

How the estimate works

From what you know
to a rough number.

Three steps. The first two happen on this page and give you a rough estimate; the third, a measured inspection, is where your actual price comes from.

  1. A typical South Florida single-story home with a tile roof, seen from the street.
The calculator starts from the address.

    Tell us about the home

Enter your address, phone and email. We find the roof from above, or you trace its outline on the satellite view, and your details go to our team so a real person can follow up.

  2. A printed aerial photo with the roof outlined in blue marker beside a tape measure, calculator and clipboard.
Roof outline to roofing squares to a rough price range.

    See a rough estimate

The calculator works out roofing squares, a materials outline, a rough South Florida price range for five roof systems and a repair-or-replace read, with the assumptions shown beside every figure. It is a rough estimate, not a quote.

  3. A gloved hand checking a cracked barrel tile at a roof-to-wall junction with a moisture meter.
The inspection decides what the calculator can only roughly estimate.

Get your price from an inspection

A real price needs a real look. Request a measured inspection and we measure the roof, document its condition and put the scope and price in a written proposal. That proposal, not the calculator, is your price.

Straight answers

Roof calculator
questions.

What the tool can and cannot tell you, and what happens next.

Is the roof calculator free?

Yes. There is no charge and no obligation. We ask for your address, phone and email so our team can follow up to book a measured inspection if you want one.

How accurate is the estimate?

It is a rough estimate only. Roof area comes from automatic 3D roof data when it is available, otherwise from the outline you trace on the satellite view (or the size you type in), and the ranges are typical 2026 South Florida installed prices. They are not a quote and Perkins does not confirm them. The calculator cannot see deck condition, layers, access or the details around chimneys and walls. Your actual price comes only from a measured inspection and a written proposal.

Does it replace a roof inspection?

No. The calculator helps you understand scale and direction. An inspection establishes the actual measurement, condition and scope. The calculator gives a rough estimate only; your price is set in the written proposal that follows the inspection.

Can it tell me whether my insurer will pay?

No. Coverage depends on your policy, the cause of damage and your insurer’s assessment. Perkins can document roofing findings and provide an estimate; the insurer decides coverage.

What if I do not know my roof’s pitch or age?

Use the closest option and note it. Automatic 3D roof data supplies the pitch when it is available for the building; when you trace the roof, you pick the closest pitch. The inspection checks the details, and the written proposal is priced from the measured roof, not from the rough estimate.

Which areas do you serve?

St. Lucie, Martin, Palm Beach, Broward, Miami-Dade, Monroe counties, from the Miami office and the Jupiter office. If automatic 3D roof data is not available for your home, you trace the roof on the satellite view or type its size instead.
